7-8 December 2015: 10th Ukrainian Investment Summit to be held in London

Event announcement

Adam Smith Conferences’ 10th Anniversary Ukrainian Investment Summit will be held on 7-8 December 2015 at the Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London with support from the British Ukrainian Society.

As the largest Ukraine-focused investment gathering worldwide, over the last 10 years, the Summit has been bringing together major Ukrainian businesses and key government officials to meet with their international counterparts and investors. The Ukrainian Investment Summit provides a truly independent and objective platform for discussing Ukraine’s macroeconomic outlook and ways of improving its investment climate, as well as for making those crucial business contacts.

This year’s Summit will provide an opportunity to hear directly from Ukrainian Government representatives on the first results of their reforms, and on their steps to improve Ukraine’s business and investment climate. The international investor community will provide an update on their plans for investing in Ukraine, as well as discussing existing barriers, forecasts and giving their advice on kick-starting Ukraine’s economy.

Senior executives and shareholders of the most dynamic Ukrainian companies will give their views on whether the first results of the reform process are being felt already, and what else needs to be done to improve the business climate. Leading Ukrainian and international economists and analysts will give their macroeconomic outlook, discuss key trends in Ukraine’s core industries, talk about risks and how to manage them, as well as about opportunities for businesses created by the FTA and other new export markets.

The Summit discussions will also focus on channelling investment to secure Ukraine’s position as an important player on the global agricultural markets, and on creating a transparent Ukrainian energy sector which would allow increasing domestic production, diversifying supplies and attracting new investment. The Summit participants will also discuss their visions for the new Ukrainian banking landscape, and talk about creating transparent conditions and mechanisms to encourage much-needed investment into transport infrastructure.

The key Summit speakers will include Deputy Head of Presidential Administration of Ukraine Dmytro Shymkiv, the Mayor of Kyiv and Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Vitaly Klitschko, and Senior Executive Vice-President and Management Board member for Africa and CIS region of ArcelorMittal Group Davinder Chugh.
