As a not-for-profit organisation (NGO), the British Ukrainian Society aims at strengthening relations at all levels between the United Kingdom and Ukraine; it encourages dialogue between the peoples of the two countries, and facilitates better understanding and co-operation between them.

Furthering such aims by:

• Encouraging, organising and sponsoring a range of social, economic, trade, cultural, political and media activities and exchanges;
  
  
• Preparing and disseminating key information;
  
  
• Promoting deeper bonds between resident, naturalised and British-born Ukrainians and the wider community;
  
  
• Enhancing the profile of the Ukrainian community and encouraging it to engage fully in British public life.
