3 October 2016
The British Ukrainian Society is delighted to confirm that the next speech in its lecture series in London will be given by Dr Hryhoriy Nemyria MP who is the Deputy Chairman of the Batkivshchyna (Fatherland) Party, and the Chairman of the Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and Interethnic Relations in the Parliament of Ukraine.
Dr Nemyria will give his lecture on 26 October 2016 at 7pm in the Macmillan Suite, Portcullis House, Bridge Street, Westminster SW1A 2LW. His talk is entitled “Where is Ukraine going?”
We would like to thank Mr James Butterwick, whose sponsorship makes this event possible. Mr Butterwick is a British art collector and dealer. He is a specialist in Ukrainian avant-garde painter Alexander Bogomazov and promotes him globally. Mr Butterwick will be holding an exhibition dedicated to Bogomazov at the National Art Museum of Ukraine in Kyiv during September-November 2017.
This two-year British Ukrainian Society series of lectures in the spheres of politics and culture is run in partnership with the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Ukraine. It aims to give anyone interested in Ukrainian affairs an opportunity to hear from British and Ukrainian politicians, diplomats, authors, artists and experts from various professions who are in some way involved in noteworthy work relating to Ukraine.
The lectures are held approximately every two months in London at Portcullis House where the offices of British Members of Parliament and their staff are located. Each lecture offers an opportunity for the audience to ask questions, and networking receptions are also planned in the future.
The British Ukrainian Society is actively seeking sponsors to support this lecture series. Sponsors will be recognised throughout the two years in a number of ways, including during introductory remarks, in advertising and banners, on the BUS website and on its social networking pages. It will also be possible for sponsors to bring promotional materials to the events.
Spaces are limited. If you would like to attend, please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org at your earliest convenience. Due to tight security and the potential for queues, we would advise you to allow at least 30 minutes to enter Portcullis House; a map and further instructions will be sent in due course to those who RSVP.
Please feel free to invite your friends and colleagues to this event, and keep up with us by liking our page on Facebook.
