The British Ukrainian Society is delighted to confirm that our next event will be a webinar with His Excellency Mr Vadym Prystaiko, the newly installed Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on 13 October at 6:30 pm. His talk is entitled, “UK-Ukraine Relations: Trade, Politics and Security”.

The Ambassador will discuss the October visit of President Zelenskyy to the United Kingdom and the signing of the Political, Free Trade and Strategic Partnership Agreement.

Speaker Profile

Ambassador Prystako graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Computer Science, and from the Ukrainian Academy of Foreign Trade with a masters in International Management.

Mr Prystaiko is a career diplomat. He served at the Ukrainian Embassy in Australia, the US and Canada including as ambassador to Canada from 2012-14.

Mr Prystaiko was Head of Mission of Ukraine to NATO from 2017-19, Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2019-20 and Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine before taking up his current post in London.
